Welcome to Luxembourg

Our mission is simple but essential: to welcome newcomers and all those who wish to discover and love Luxembourg. We offer them information and artistic, linguistic, sports and cultural activities, during the day and in the evening.

Recently, this place of exchange and conviviality has had a makeover and is adapting: we meet friends there, we telework, we follow an activity or we read a good book in the living room or on the terrace in the sun...

At Accueil, everyone is welcome, expat or native, that's what makes us rich. We want everyone to feel integrated, without language barriers, and inspired to contribute to our beautiful community.

Let's meet!

Our story

Mir wëlle bleiwe wat mir sinn
We want to remain what we are

In the 1970s, Dr. Glaesener noticed that his patients felt uprooted upon arriving in Luxembourg. His wife, Françoise, and his sister-in-law, Marie-Françoise, founded Luxembourg Accueil in 1977. Initially, a clinic was open on Rue du Nord for a few hours a week. Ten years later, the association had 300 members and moved to 10 Bisserwee, in Grund, with the support of the City of Luxembourg .

As the new arrivals and departures come and go, they express the same needs as those young mothers of the 70s: a warm cocoon and a group of friends.

Today, a member of FIAFE , we are part of a formidable network of 160 reception centers in 90 countries, recognized as being of public utility by the French government.

Our ambition is to be a relay in the life of Luxembourg and to echo the dynamism of this city that we appreciate so much.
